DEN Summer Institute 2014

We all have a story to tell- whether it is a personal or informational- empower your students to express themselves with multimedia and technology. We will explore ten tools (iPad apps and online) that can be used to create media-rich presentations and stories to inform and entertain. This hands-on workshop will have you creating and collaborating to use one or more of the tools that we will explore.

During this session Dr. Lodge will demonstrate a new method of teaching that uses music, movement, rapid video creation, teacher/student reflection, and publishing. This experience will be the foundation for a discussion about rigor, engagement, transparency and rethinking professional development.

Creating an iTunes U course is not as hard as you might think. Join me/us as we show how you can create your own course. We will take a look at the Discovery Science Techbook Elementary Course that Lea Anne Daughrity and I created to support the Science Techbook. This course is available in iTunes U, K-12 section.
